Connections: old, new and mystical at Centerfest and CPT

     "Margaret Brouwer, Head of the Cleveland Intitute of Music's Composition Department, and founder of the Connections Ensemble, sought to answer, in the aftermathe of September 11, whether people of different cultures can communicate musically.  The Ensemble's CPT performance of "Mysical Connections," suggests the answer is assuredly yes.  Performers from Vietnam, Africa and Israel played traditional instruments in their sets, woven together with Ms. Brouwer's own compositions performed by the Ensemble and guests."
